Pistons, gears and constant motion, all mixed up, give him the whole inspiration to create sculptures with a lot of meaning.
But it’s not as simple as putting everything together; he has the precision of a watchmaker. Just one millimeter off on a measurement and the entire work will not have the same value. Therefore he is obsessed with the order of each piece as a whole picture.
Maybe “the most perfect imperfection” would be an accurate description of his art, whether he does reinterpretations of well-known works of art or an entire piece started from scratch.
